.na Domain Check Is Your Namibian Domain Name Still Free?
Type a name and see at once which Namibian extensions are still free, then order it in a few clicks
How this works: Namibia's .na registry offers no public lookup, so the check asks the internet's domain name system whether each name is in use. A name with name servers is taken; a name without any is very likely free, and we confirm with the registry before you pay. What you type is sent to Google Public DNS for the lookup; PHOENIX does not store it.

Domain Check FAQ
How does this domain check work?
It asks the internet's domain name system (DNS), through Google Public DNS, whether each name has name servers. Every domain that is registered and in use has them, so a name with name servers is taken. A name without any DNS records is very likely still free.
Is a name marked "probably available" guaranteed to be free?
Not completely. Namibia's .na registry does not offer a public lookup, so a name that was registered minutes ago, is reserved, or is registered but not yet set up can still show as free. We confirm availability with the registry before you pay anything.
What does a Namibian domain cost?
Registering a .com.na domain costs N$ 1 040, a .co.na N$ 1 290, a .org.na N$ 1 030, a .net.na N$ 1 095, an .edu.na N$ 1 000 and a first-level .na N$ 5 550, all excluding VAT and for Namibian companies, organisations and residents. International domains such as .com start from N$ 350 per year.
Should I choose .com.na or .na?
For most businesses .com.na is the sensible choice: it is the Namibian extension people know best and costs a fraction of a first-level .na domain. A .na address makes sense if a very short name is part of your brand or the .com.na version is taken.
How do I register a name that is free?
Press Register next to the name: the order form opens with the name filled in. We check the requirements for your extension with you, submit the registration in your business's name, set up the DNS and keep you updated until the name is live.
