What is the difference between .na and .com.na?
A .na domain sits directly under Namibia's country extension (yourname.na): short and distinctive, but considerably more expensive. A .com.na domain (yourname.com.na) is the most common choice for Namibian businesses and costs a fraction of the price. Both are Namibian domains — many companies start with .com.na and add the .na version later to protect their name.
Who can register a Namibian domain?
The prices on this page apply to Namibian-registered companies, organisations and residents. If you are registering on behalf of a foreign company, ask us first, because different prices and requirements apply. We check the requirements for your chosen extension with you before anything is submitted.
How long does it take to register a domain?
Once you have confirmed your order, we submit the registration and set up the DNS for you. The domain becomes active as soon as the registry has confirmed it, and we keep you updated online until your name is live.
How do domain renewals work?
Domains are registered for a year at a time and renew every year to stay active. We remind you before the renewal date and renew the domain for you, so your website and email keep working — you never have to deal with the registry yourself.
Can I transfer my existing domain to PHOENIX?
Yes. Transfers of Namibian and international domains are handled on request. Tell us the domain and who manages it today, and we explain the steps and any costs before anything changes, planning the move so your website and email keep working.
Can I get email addresses on my domain?
Yes. We host business email on your own domain — for example info@yourbusiness.com.na — together with your website, on servers managed by PHOENIX. Our Business package includes three mailboxes and the Professional package five.
Should I register more than one extension?
If your name matters to your brand, registering the main variants — for example .com.na and .com — stops others from using them and lets you point all of them to one website. We register international domains such as .com, .net and .org from N$ 350 per year, excl. VAT.
